The assembly wasn't too difficult, although the instructions were a bit confusing at times didn't indicate what sides should face up, diagrams were tiny... and they didn't include any spare parts, so if you lose a screw, you're out of luck. It comes completely disassembled...it took me about 2 hours to put together, and at times I needed someone to help me hold parts while I screwed them in.
